Doll Baby | North Dallas Newborn Photography

Remember the couple that I bragged on a little over a month ago?  Well, the day they were supposed to pick up the album they ordered, I saw a post on fb announcing their new arrival.  So, today they came by to pick up their order and....we got some great pictures of the new arrival.  She was such a good baby.  Her nap time was disturbed multiple times during outfit changes, but I think it was well worth it.  Isn't she just a doll?

Groups of children are always more of a challenge than individual shots, especially if you want the perfect posed portrait.  Luckily for me, I am rarely about the perfect pose.  To me it is all about connections.  I love the interaction between siblings.  Their baby girl was all smiles and you could tell that all three big brothers adored her.  Little brother was a bit camera shy, but his dimpled grin was totally worth the effort!  Here is your official sneak peek, finally.  You have a beautiful family!

I know that this precious girl's mom and dad are absolutely thrilled that she is here.  With as much as her mommy likes pictures, you can bet that you will see her face on here quite often!  One of the best part of my jobs is getting to watch little ones grow up.  I can only imagine how I will feel when some of these same faces are coming to me for Senior pictures.  What a blessing to get to share in so many wonderful people's lives.  Thank you Clint and Judy for a wonderful afternoon.  She is breath taking!

Since discovering the i heart faces website a few months back, I have loved being a part of their community.  There are many weeks that I don't have time to enter the challenge, but it I always take a little time to read about the guest judge, browse some of the entries, and take a peek at the winners.  The photo I entered last week is one of my all time favorites, yet when I stopped by the winners post on Sunday, I was blown away when I saw that it had made the top 10.  There were 646 entries last week.  All I can say, is what an honor.  Honestly I am not sure who was more excited, me or Elyssa, when she saw that a picture of her was chosen as the 6th in a competition.  I wish I would have had a video of her as I scrolled down to where it was.  Here is the link if you want to check it out for yourself ~
Flowers and Faces Winners

This week is all about the color yellow.  I wanted to get the girls out and do something fun and creative, but the day ended much too quickly.  Instead, I pulled this picture of an adorable little girl that I met early last fall.  I love how caught up she was with smelling the flower.  Pure sweetness!

See more great entries here ~

This week's theme over at i heart faces is Faces and Flowers. This picture has been one of my favorites for the last few years. I was in love with all the sunflowers that were blooming around my neighborhood. One afternoon while my mom was in town I talked her into helping me drag my chair into the field behind an old abandoned warehouse across from my subdivision. We were on a time constraint because of afternoon plans, but it was so hot that we didn't want to stay long anyway. I have continued dragging that chair around to empty fields for sessions, just not that same one...it is now a fire station. That is one thing about this area, locations change on a constant basis. Even in this slow economy this area continues to grow and flourish.

The "K" Family | Dallas Area Family Photography

After a wonderful, but busy Mother's Day weekend, I am finally able to post some pictures from Thursday's family session.  Thank you so much for driving up this way.  You have a beautiful family, Jackie, and I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!

Kenzie | Frisco, TX Senior Photography

I am finally posting a preview from Monday's session.  Seniors are so much fun to photograph.  I truly love outfit changes and hunting for new locations.  Kenzie suggested a great place that I had never been to before and it was fabulous.  We had to fight midday sun and an array of bugs, but it was well worth it!  Of course, with eyes like hers, she could make any location look good. :)

Enjoy!

It always makes my day when a family is willing to drive nearly an hour for a session. What a compliment! As you can see, their youngest daughter is absolutely stunning. Their 17 year old son decided that it was too early. LOL! You'll be seeing this beautiful girl again, soon. Her best friend's family is meeting with me on Thursday and we are going to get some best friend pics. I can't wait! Thanks for making the drive you guys. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. :)
